Sh*t my Japanese Mom Sends Me: Birthday Edition

1 Comment 07 April 2013

My Japanese mom periodically send me silly things. It is one of her quirky personality traits. For my birthday a few weeks ago, she send me a few things I thought I’d share with you.

Some decorative Japanese cracker thing.

Here’s the best thing: a Cat Bank!

I spent a part of my childhood growing up in Japan, and I love the quirky little gifts and their thoughtful packaging. It’s always fun to get stuff from Japan, especially Almond Chocolates by Meiji, my mom’s favourite :)!

The Ancient Wisdom Project

I'm now spending most of my time blogging for my new site, The Ancient Wisdom Project.

The Ancient Wisdom Project is a series of experiments in which I dedicate 30-day periods to practicing, studying, and reflecting on a single ancient philosophy or religion with the hopes of achieving personal growth.
